Privacy Policy

Chatrove is a browser extension for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, operated by Ledgerbridge LLC ("we", "us"), Sheridan, Wyoming, USA. This policy explains what data Chatrove handles and why. In short: your chats and prompts stay in your browser, and we only keep what is needed to manage a paid license.

1. Data stored only in your browser

Your saved prompts, saved chats (title and link), folders, colors and settings are stored locally in your browser using the extension storage (chrome.storage.local). We never receive, read or store this content. If you uninstall the extension, this data is deleted from your browser; you can export a backup file at any time.

2. "Continue in another AI"

When you click "Continue in…", Chatrove reads the text of the conversation that is open in your tab and pastes it into the AI website you selected (ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini). This happens entirely inside your browser. The text is not sent to Chatrove's servers. Once pasted and sent, that text is handled by the destination AI provider under its own privacy policy.

3. Data we store to manage a paid plan

If you buy Chatrove Pro, we store, on our license server (hosted by Supabase):

• your email address (to send your receipt and to let you recover your license);
• a random installation ID generated by the extension (to know which installations are Pro, up to 3);
• your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan and its status;
• a temporary 6-digit recovery code, deleted after use or after 10 minutes.

The extension contacts our server only to check whether an installation has an active plan, to start a checkout, to open the billing portal, and to recover a license. For security, our server may keep the IP address of these requests for a short time to limit abuse (rate limiting).

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment data you provide to them.

5. Emails

We send transactional emails only (license recovery codes), through our email provider Resend. We do not send marketing emails without your consent.

6. What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent your data.
• We do not use analytics, ads or tracking cookies in the extension.
• We do not use your data for advertising, credit decisions or any purpose unrelated to the extension's features.

7. Permissions the extension requests

• Access to chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com — to show the Chatrove panel, insert prompts and read the open conversation when you use "Continue in…".
• Storage — to save your library in your browser.
• Scripting — to activate Chatrove in tabs that were already open when you installed or updated it.

8. Retention and your rights

We keep license data while your plan is active and as needed for tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data by emailing support@chatrove.app.

9. Children

Chatrove is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

10. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. Material changes will be announced on this page.
